CARING FOR YOUR NATURAL FLOORING
Protection - Intec Stain Inhibitor
We strongly recommend the use of Intec Stain Inhibition treatment, which
should be ordered at the time of purchasing. The stain inhibitor treatment
is applied by the manufacturer. Intec ensures that every fibre is protected
by a polymer shield, so resisting absorption of stains and dirt. This
treatment is completely safe and does not affect the colour or texture
of your rug/floorcovering.
Cleaning
Any spillages, as with conventional carpeting, should be tackled as quickly
as possible using clean cloths or kitchen paper to soak up any spills.
Surface dirt can be easily removed through regular vacuuming. Please note
that it is very important never to wet shampoo any natural flooring.
To ensure that your natural floorcovering
keeps looking good, we can supply a Care & Cleaning Box, which has 
been specifically designed for natural flooring. Comprising of a ready
to use spray on cleaner and spot cleaner, the box also includes a soft
cleaning cloth and natural bristle brush. Price £38.00 inclusive

To clean rug borders you can use an appropriate proprietary cleaning solution.
Fitting Information
Plant Fibre floorcoverings, sisal, paper and coir respond directly to
the environment they are sited in. For example, they will expand and contract
when the moisture in the air increases or decreases. Therefore, it is
recommended that your natural floorcovering be laid out or left loosely
rolled for a minimum of 48 hours in order to adjust to the room climate
before fitting. This will help maintain the dimensional stability of your
natural floorcovering and ensure that there is no buckling or wrinkling.
Installation as a fitted floorcovering
1. Direct stick method - The floorcovering is stuck directly to the sub-floor,
using carpet adhesive.
2. Double stick method - A special underlay is lightly adhered to the
sub-floor and the natural floorcovering is stuck directly to the underlay.
Using an underlay provides both softness underfoot, sound insulation and
greater dimensional stability for the natural floorcovering, prolonging
its life and good looks.
