Welcome to Express Rugs, the mail order division of The Rug Co., West
Wales' largest supplier of both hand- and machine-made rugs. (Please note that our retail premises closed on the 6th December 09 and we are now just selling on-line via the internet)
If you do not see
what you are looking for, please contact us, we may well have an
alternative we can offer from our vast selection of rugs still to be
added to our website and remember our on-line catalogue is being
constantly changed and updated.
With 25 years of retail experience to draw from, we can assure you of our ability to provide an efficient and reliable service.
Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse through our
catalogue and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into
the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on
"order" and you will be asked for a few details that will enable us to
satisfy your order. We accept most major credit cards/debit cards. If
you do not wish to disclose your credit card details on-line, please
select the "contact us" and we shall phone you for your credit card
details on receipt of order.
If you have placed
your order on-line, we will e-mail you within 24 hrs, confirming your
order. We aim to make sure that the prices on our website are accurate.
We shall always validate the price before we process your order.
If your rug is in
stock we shall process your payment immediately. You will not be
charged for any item that is out of stock at the time of order.
Once your rug has come into stock, we shall notify you by email.
Shipping And Handling
Post and Packaging is free on all orders over £50. Any orders
under £50 will be charges £6 towards the cost of postage.
Delivery Schedule
We deliver anywhere in mainland UK for Free. Your order will be
processed immediatly upon receipt, but please refer to the individual
rug "Detail Page" for expected times of delivery.
You will be
notified of the exact delivery date by e-mail. Unfortunately we cannot
specify a time (am/pm). If, for your convenience, you require a "before
noon carriage service", we can arrange this service for you at a cost
of £10.00. Deliveries are not made on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank
Holidays. We do not process orders outside of the UK at present.
Deliveries to the
Scottish Highlands, UK Islands and Ireland will incur a delivery
charge. We shall notify you of the exact delivery charge, for your
approval, prior to processing your payment for your rug.
Back Orders
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will
always be e-mailed with the option to cancel your order if you would
rather not wait. Payment will not be processed unless your rug is in stock.
Credit Card Security
Our site uses Easy Space Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) security to take
your order and process your credit card. (if you wish to view our SSL
certificate click on the padlock at the bottom of the browser window)
SSL is short for Secure Sockets Layer, a protocol developed by Netscape
for transmitting private documents via the Internet. SSL works by using
a public key to encrypt data that's transferred over the SSL
connection. Both Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer support SSL,
and many Web sites use the protocol to obtain confidential user
information, such as credit card numbers. By convention, URLs that
require an SSL connection start with https: instead of http:
Your credit card
details are securely encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are not
held in clear text on any web site. This is an industry standard method
and is completely secure.
The software we use
has been endorsed by the credit card companies as a secure method of
transmitting card details. We know of no documented cases of credit
card fraud on our shopping system over the Internet. All credit card
numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using
128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our
computers. They are not held in clear text on any website. Your card
will be manually debited on our shop Credit Card Terminal once your
order is ready for dispatch.
Guarantee
If you are not entirely happy with your purchase, you can return the
goods in their original packaging, undamaged, within 14 days, for a
full refund of the purchase price. We can arrange for a pick-up and
return service for you or alternatively you can arrange this yourself.
We advise you obtain proof of postage and ensure goods are adequately
insured during any return journey. It is the responsibility of the
customer to meet the carriage payment on rugs returned. Notification of
your wish to return goods must be made in writing to us within 7 days
of receiving them. If you return the product in its original condition,
we will refund you any money that you have paid to us for that product.
If you return an item to us that is faulty, we shall either replace the
item or refund at your request. If the reason for the return is in
anyway our fault, we shall re-imburse the cost of return postage. This
does not affect your staturatory rights as a consumer. Whilst every
effort is made during photography processess, to accurately reproduce
colours we do not accept any responsibility for the payment of
returning rugs if there has been a misrepresentation of colour.

Privacy Policy
The information collected when you place an order via the secure
server, is only used by us to process that order or to contact you
should there be a delay. The information is not retained by us after
the order is finalised.
No information you send to us will be made available to any third party.
Should you wish to
be put on our customer database for future special offers either e-mail
us or let us know when you order. Cookies are used on this shopping
site, but only to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once
you have selected an item. All information is collected lawfully and in
accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
